**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team at Employ-Temps Staffing Services. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding and fitting tasks to ensure the highest quality products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform skilled craftsmanship in welding and fitting activities, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods into and between work centers, maintaining a smooth production flow.
  • Operate hand and power tools to clean finished materials and complete minor repairs, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Operate machinery to complete secondary operations, such as drilling, punching, bending, grinding, torch cutting, shearing, and flattening.
  • Move finished materials onto skids for final packaging, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Maintain pace with equipment operators to prevent backlogs and delays, promoting a productive work environment.
  • Read, interpret, and understand customer orders, communicating with the foreman to ensure a complete understanding of job requirements.
  • Communicate all pertinent job-related information to the foreman on a daily basis, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Use basic measuring tools to maintain quality standards on each order, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-3 years prior experience in welding and fitting
  • Basic reading and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, stand, or walk for extended periods
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
