We are seeking a highly skilled Architect II to join our team at LEO A DALY. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for transforming the human experience through the power of design.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify project-specific architectural requirements
- Plan and develop projects of various sizes, working under supervision
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions, prioritizing work and receiving guidance on complex issues
- Perform Revit modeling and detailing with the team
- Participate in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
- Conduct site investigations and observations
- Prepare basic narratives, reports, drawing, and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, considering project schedule and budget constraints
- Participate in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI's, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
- Assist with marketing and business development activities
- Travel for project-related activities may be required
- Coordinate the work of junior professionals and technicians
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, working to solve problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects
- Competent in general conventional aspects of architecture
- Perform work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Independently solve problems encountered
- Attend client meetings and communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
- Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices uses advanced techniques
- Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials and construction
- Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields
- May act independently regarding architectural methods and complexities
- Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices of individual's field
- 3 years in AEC
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
- Architecture registration required
