Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Nurse to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Radiation Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate care for radiotherapy patients, including scheduling tests and monitoring patient side effects and nutritional status.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patient conditions and reactions to treatments.
  • Take vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal.
  • Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a RN or BSN degree.
  • Must hold a current GA RN license or eNLC license required.
  • BLS required upon hire (AHA or Red Cross) or within 30 days of hire.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred, with prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided.
