Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Oncology Unit at Sentara Healthcare. This role requires a compassionate and skilled nurse to monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver dynamic care that includes chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplants, radioactive iodine, and symptom management.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and admit patients
  • Round checks and administer medications
  • Communicate with family members and provide patient care
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications:
  • RN License
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
