Job SummaryThe Concrete Finisher is responsible for ensuring a consistent and high-quality concrete pavement product for our customers. This type of work could include assisting with initial concrete set-up, monitoring string lines, material preparation, and general labor duties.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with initial concrete set-up and monitoring string lines to ensure high-quality pavement
- Prepare materials and perform general labor duties to support concrete finishing operations
- Work collaboratively with a successful, hard-working team to achieve project goals
- Read and understand documents, write routine reports, and basic emails/correspondence
- Basic math skills, such as adding; subtracting; multiplying; and dividing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- One year of previous experience working in construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding specifications or tolerances on concrete projects (edge slump, vertical face, pavement thickness, profile requirements, etc.)
- Ability to follow both written, oral or diagram instructions and be able to effectively problem solve

This position is based in Clinton, IA and will require some travel to job sites within the Gateway Community. The pay range for this position is based on experience. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
This position ranges from $19 - $26 an hour with additional composition available with a valid CDL and operating experience.
