Position Overview
The Mixologist is tasked with crafting food and beverage selections, serving drinks and meals to guests in accordance with state and federal age regulations, and overseeing lounge/bar operations.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three to six months of relevant experience; or a suitable combination of training and experience.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly; develops alternative solutions and employs reasoning even in emotionally charged situations.
- Capable of managing challenging or emotional customer interactions; includes the ability to respond swiftly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism; treats all individuals with respect and consideration, regardless of their status or position.
- Knowledgeable in interpreting and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Familiar with safety and security protocols; reports potentially unsafe conditions; utilizes equipment and materials correctly.
- Ability to articulate and convey ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Meets the demands of the work schedule; punctuality is essential. May occasionally require working outside of regular hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Verifies customer identification to ensure compliance with age requirements for alcohol purchase.
- Presents the menu, answers inquiries, and takes food and beverage orders from guests and/or serving staff.
- Prepares drink orders, including wine, liquor, and beer.
- Prepares appetizers and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitors seating in the lounge/bar area to ensure all guests receive service.
- Calculates bills and processes payments; tracks and balances sales receipts.
- Mitigates issues related to excessive drinking by taking appropriate actions, such as ceasing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problems.
- Cleans bars, work areas, tables, as well as glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and lounge station; ensures the area is tidy and stocks kitchen and bar at the end of each shift.
- Plans, organizes, and manages the operations of the lounge/bar area.
- Prepares fruit for drink garnishing.
- Arranges bottles and glasses to create appealing displays.
- Develops drink recipes.
- Conducts weekly inventory of liquor, food supplies, and equipment; orders or requisitions supplies as necessary.
- Ensures all temperature logs and waste logs are maintained daily.
- Receives and inspects foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards.
- Ensures tips are reported accurately for tax processing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation
Minimum: USD $16.00/Hr. Mid: USD $16.00/Hr. Maximum: USD $19.20/Hr.
