Job Summary

As the Engineering Manager at WellStar Health System, Inc., you will be responsible for directing the Engineering Department in support of the Wellstar mission. This role involves chairing the Environment of Care Committee, implementing EOC management plans, and assisting the Safety Officer in reviewing policies. You will also manage the safety surveillance program, develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, and coordinate contract maintenance and installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the Engineering Department in support of the Wellstar mission
  • Chair the Environment of Care Committee
  • Implement EOC management plans
  • Assist the Safety Officer in reviewing policies
  • Manage the safety surveillance program
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Coordinate contract maintenance and installations
  • Coordinate critical systems preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Strive to achieve compliance with pertinent laws and regulations
  • Maintain an adequately trained and competent staff
  • Provide guidance to Plant Operations Supervisor and staff
  • Strive to provide excellent customer service
  • Oversee and maintain hospital properties and buildings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the mechanical, facilities, and people management field
  • Knowledge related to Joint Commission, CMS, and LSC Compliance is a plus
