Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our team at Ascent Hospitality. As a key member of our breakfast team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and maintain the breakfast bar in an attractive and organized manner, adhering to brand standards.
- Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
- Assist with the setup of prepared foods, such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
- Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
- Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
- Remove trash from the service area.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces.
- Inspect areas for safety hazards and report any issues to the department supervisor and maintenance.
- Check the operating conditions of equipment and report any maintenance problems.
- Perform special daily projects assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding in carrying out instructions.
- Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies, and convey information to staff and management.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work without constant supervision.
- Must be able to work well as a part of a team.
- Must be engaging with all guests throughout the breakfast period, responding to guest needs as required.
- Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Six months of customer service, hotel, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
