Public Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Safety Officer to join our team at the City of Waco, TX.

About the Role:
  • Enforce state and federal laws, and City regulations to maintain public safety and order.
  • Respond to emergency calls, investigate crimes, and make arrests to protect the community.
  • Patrol the City, monitor traffic, and work with citizens to address safety concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Enforce laws, prevent crimes, and assist the public as a law enforcement professional.
  2. Work closely with other agencies to ensure effective crime prevention and investigation.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to strict protocols.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, plus relevant experience in law enforcement.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and TCOLE certification as a Peace Officer.
  • Minimum 2 years of prior experience as a TCOLE certified police officer.
