Polysomnography Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will work under the general supervision of the clinical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced polysomnography, and related tasks.
• Assist in troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining SDC equipment.
• Assist with quality assurance monitoring and product evaluation.
• Provide patient services from ages pediatric through geriatric.

Requirements

• Must have two years' post-high school education in a scientific field.
• Must have basic knowledge of physical sciences, mathematics, and statistics.
• Must be able to operate a Windows-based computer program at a basic level for data collection and analysis.
• Must be BLS certified through the American Heart Association.
• Requires interpersonal and communication skills to promote positive relationships with patients and other staff.

Certifications and Education

• Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography.
• OR Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration associated with a state-licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required.
