Key Responsibilities- Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Electrical Systems: Identify and resolve issues with electrical systems, instrumentation systems, and equipment using testing devices, gauges, and other tools of the trade.
- Install and Replace Electrical Systems and Equipment: Install new or replacement electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures, and ensure they are properly calibrated and functioning as intended.
- Calibrate and Adjust Instrumentation: Calibrate and adjust instrumentation, valves, flow meters, and other equipment to ensure accurate readings and optimal performance.
- Program and Tune Controllers: Program and tune controllers, valves, actuators, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Download and Restore Data: Download and restore stored data in PLCs, controllers, eproms, and other equipment, and diagnose and resolve communication circuit problems.
- Complete Tasks and Repairs: Complete tasks and repairs common to their licensed specialty, and report and document results of inspections and work performed.
- Operate Vehicles and Mobile Equipment: Operate vehicles and mobile equipment for plant maintenance purposes, and ensure they are properly maintained and serviced.
- Train and Mentor Peers and Subordinates: Train and mentor peers and subordinates as requested, and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Ensure Safe and Professional Work Environment: Ensure work is performed in a safe and professional manner by following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures, and in conformance with relevant building and electrical codes.
- Perform Cleanup and Housekeeping Tasks: Perform cleanup and housekeeping tasks for work area, tools, and equipment, and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
This role requires working in outside and inside environments with noise and all temperatures and climatic conditions, and must be able to work under adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
