Weekly Compensation Range: $2222 To $2469


Overview:

The charge nurse plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of nursing operations within the department. This position involves providing essential support and direction to nursing staff during complex situations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily administrative tasks, including staff schedules, patient assignments, and care coordination.
  • Monitor clinical documentation and vital signs of patients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise nursing personnel, addressing their needs and facilitating admissions and discharges.
  • Assist with patient care and provide relief for staff during breaks.
  • Coordinate responses to emergency situations and provide clinical assistance during crises.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation.
  • Review patient assignments and evaluate nursing assessments, reports, and care plans.
  • Address and resolve patient complaints or concerns effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a valid nursing license.
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in a charge, supervisory, or managerial role within a hospital setting.
  • Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
  • Additional professional certifications such as TNCC and NIHSS are advantageous.
