Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ER team on a part-time basis, working nights. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely interventions.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Acts as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals and areas for improvement.
- Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.
- Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s), overseeing the ER team and ensuring seamless patient care.
- Supervises other members of the healthcare team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification, as applicable by Facility/by Department.
- Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator experience.
- Prefer 1 year of acute care experience, but will consider new graduates.
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or training.
- Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.
