We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Services department at West Virginia University Health System. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to the development of our patients' treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of care.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patients' needs are met and that their concerns are addressed.
- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in patient care.
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience: At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, preferably in emergency services or critical care.
- Certifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), if applicable.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).
