Job Summary

This position is responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and lighting fixtures at the Oyate Health Center. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand electrical system designs and requirements.
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify potential issues and ensure safe operation.
  • Use a variety of testing devices to identify electrical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with construction specialists, such as elevator installers and heating and air conditioning workers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Proficiency with computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other Internet technologies.
  • Valid driver's license must be kept current, and certificates, credentials, or licenses must be kept current and consistent with regulations required by applicable federal, state, and/or grant regulations.
