We are committed to providing high-quality care to our patients and are seeking a skilled Perianesthesia Nurse to join our team.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Perianesthesia Nurse, you will provide pre-and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This will involve developing, implementing, and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient and family. You will also be responsible for providing education to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing care, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute, inpatient PACU setting. A BSN degree is preferred, and you will need to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington. You will also need to have current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification and ACLS certification for the Surgery Admit & Discharge Unit (SADU) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required within six months of date of hire.
