COMPENSATION:
$24.00 HOURLY (Wage based on experience verified by references and following the interview process)

SUPERVISION:
Reports to Shop Foreman, Project Manager, and Office Management Personnel.

OVERVIEW:
This role primarily involves operating heavy machinery, specifically dump trucks. The operator will be responsible for the following essential functions:

  • Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles in accordance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Efficiently locating job sites and addresses.
  • Safely navigating trucks to various job locations, often in challenging terrain.
  • Cleaning the truck and its components at the end of each workday.
  • Collecting and submitting haul tickets throughout the shift.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to apply common sense to execute detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL.
  • Holding a valid Medical Card as per D.O.T. standards.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1 year of experience operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. multiple times throughout the day.
  • Awareness of surroundings to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Regularly required to sit, climb, communicate, listen, and use hands.
  • Exposure to hot outdoor conditions for extended periods, as well as cold weather during winter months.
  • Expected to perform minor maintenance on assigned vehicles, including small repairs and part replacements.

WORK EXPECTATIONS:
This is a FULL-TIME position with varying shifts and hours based on the season. Typical hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM during winter and 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM during summer. Overtime may be required based on workload demands. Attendance is a critical function of this role.
