Position Overview
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect position represents the pinnacle of customer-facing architecture roles within North America Cloud Engineering, playing a vital role in the partnership between Oracle and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, cultivating robust relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to comprehend client needs and propose appropriate Oracle cloud solutions.
- Conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with clients to gather comprehensive business and technical requirements.
- Design and architect holistic cloud solutions that fulfill client requirements while adhering to industry best practices.
- Present and demonstrate Oracle cloud solutions to clients, highlighting the value and advantages of our offerings.
- Create and deliver detailed technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation.
- Engage closely with Oracle product management and engineering teams to remain informed about the latest cloud technologies and features of Oracle cloud solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the sales process, including proof of concepts (POCs) and pilot initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to offer strategic insights to the sales team and clients.
- Design and deliver enterprise cloud architecture, articulating the business value effectively.
- Lead cross-functional teams of Oracle subject matter experts to assist clients in designing, planning, implementing, and governing enterprise cloud architecture and solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of technology and industry experience, with at least 5+ years in selling technology and cloud-based services.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with modern Cloud Platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar customer-facing capacity, focusing on enterprise cloud solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
- In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Relevant cloud certifications are highly advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
US:
Salary Range: from $113,000 to $185,200 annually. May be eligible for equity and commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
