Job Overview

Builders Warehouse is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk.

As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for all products arriving at our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving vendor shipments such as lumber, construction supplies, hardware, tools, paint, appliances, cabinets, flooring, and more. Attention to detail and precision are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload delivery trucks containing lumber, building supplies, and retail products.
  • Verify the accuracy of received merchandise.
  • Process claims and returns for damaged or defective items.
  • Manage special purchase orders and ensure proper bin assignments.
  • Notify relevant parties regarding the status of special purchase orders.
  • Organize and stock yard materials in designated locations.
  • Facilitate shipping of freight to customers via UPS.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments.
Requirements
  • Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Proficient in using computers for data entry and information retrieval.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of regularly lifting and moving up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to handle, move, and locate various materials and merchandise.
Work Schedule

This position operates Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required.
