About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Mercy Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  • Produce high-quality images for interpretation, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of technical data.
  • Notify management and take appropriate action to address equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Assist with scheduling patient procedures, monitoring patient flow, and prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the operation and maintenance of radiology equipment, adhering to technical specifications and applications.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to perform fluoroscopic, GI, and pediatric procedures, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
  • Report any malfunctions to the help desk and PACS Administrator, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Process billing via RIS, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.
  • Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs, staying up-to-date with the latest technical information and advancements in medical imaging.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), in good standing.
  • Current state licensure required prior to employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
