Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Assistant to work with our team at Commonpoint Queens' Sam Field Center. The Program Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the success of our program for neurodiverse individuals ages 5 to 21.

About the Role

The Program Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program, including supervising part-time counselors, collaborating with Group Leaders, and implementing behavioral interventions as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise part-time counselors and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Group Leaders to develop and implement high-quality programming strategies.
  • Assist with the intake process for new participants.
  • Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in leadership and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $22-$25 per hour (commensurate with experience and education level). Hours: Monday-Friday, 1pm-5pm (with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules). Part-time hours are limited to 19 hours per week.
