**Job Title:** Java Telephony Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Java Telephony Engineer to join our team at Ascendion Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing telephony solutions using Java.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Telephony Architecture Analysis:** Understand the current contact center telephony architecture and perform an analysis of client's Session Border Controller, IVR, SIP, and Voice Gateway.
  • **Collaboration and Technical Expertise:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather voice gateway related requirements and provide technical expertise during solution design and implementation phases.
  • **Development and Testing:** Perform development and testing of telephony solutions.
  • **Troubleshooting and Maintenance:** Monitor the telephony environment's health, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • **Improvement and Enhancement:** Proactively identify areas for improvement and propose enhancements to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • **Communication and Maturity:** Possess the communication and maturity to work with highly qualified engineering environment that is going to be fast paced.
  • **VoIP Protocols:** Strong understanding of VoIP protocols, SIP, RTP, and related telephony technologies.
  • **Telephony Expertise:** Expertise in configuring large scale contact center flows, routing strategy, custom scripting, API integrations, desktop, and 3rd party app integrations.
  • **Network Protocols:** Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching relevant to telephony systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • **Core Java:** Experience with Core Java, REST Microservices.
  • **Java SIP Frameworks:** Experience with Java SIP frameworks like JAIN.
  • **TTS Technology:** Experience with TTS or related technology.
  • **VoIP Protocols:** Experience with VoIP protocols, SIP, RTP, and related telephony technologies.

Location and Benefits:

**Location:** Dallas, TX (Hybrid 3 days a week)

**Salary Range:** The salary for this position is between $110,000 – $130,000 annually.
