The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is a key member of the St. Cloud Area School team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floors; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms; washing chairs, desks, and chalkboards; emptying trash cans; and cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the locker rooms.
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the grounds by cutting and trimming the lawn, shoveling and blowing snow from walkways, and performing other outdoor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Security and Safety: Ensure the security and safety of our facilities by monitoring and reporting any issues, and collaborating with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service to students, teachers, staff, and parents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks, including record keeping, monitoring supplies, and coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently, and physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
