About the Role:

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join our dynamic OBGYN practice in a busy healthcare setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with physicians and midwives to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to women and families in a fast-paced OBGYN practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct routine check-ups, deliver babies, and provide postpartum care to patients.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment that prioritizes patient satisfaction and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as an Advance Practice Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Current Texas midwife certification.
  • One year of full-time post-licensure clinical nursing experience.
  • Education/Skills: Graduate of a State Board and/or NLN accredited School of Nursing, and a State Board and NLN accredited Advance Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Masters Degree required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with diverse populations.
  • Leadership skills to direct others toward the successful treatment of patients.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate patient status and healthcare procedures/techniques.
  • Fiscal skills to monitor and control costs and revenue.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement new ideas or systems.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
  • CPR; ACLS preferred.
