Key Responsibilities
- Develop personalized care strategies for patients under your supervision.
- Identify and manage cancer-related complications.
- Regularly assess and document vital signs, including weight and height.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to exchange knowledge and expertise.
- Engage in cancer research to improve treatment methodologies for patients.
- Offer supportive resources to patients and their families to encourage a positive outlook.
- Educate patients and families about treatment expectations and processes.
- Continuously monitor and document patient progress.
- Record patient responses to treatments and medications accurately.
- Complete Medication Administration Records (MAR) post-treatment.
- Provide tailored discharge instructions and emergency contact information.
Qualifications
- Current RN License in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in outpatient oncology and 1 year in medication administration.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary up to $52 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes Tuition Reimbursement, Health Insurance from day one, Dental and Vision coverage, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term disability, a 401k Plan, generous Paid Time Off, and 8 paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays).
