Texas State University is seeking a skilled Construction Project Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Planning Design department, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the inspection process.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, including notes, photographs, and test data.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that all parties are aware of inspection results and necessary corrections.
Requirements:
Qualifications: A degree in Architecture, Construction Engineering/Management, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in construction management, including 5+ years performing construction inspections for city, state, or federal agencies. Knowledge of the National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code and ability to read and understand contract documents, technical manuals, electronic devices/gauges, and test data are also essential.
