About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FOH Supervisor to join our team at Tocaya Modern Mexican. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive work environment, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Assist the General Manager in maintaining a positive environment and setting a positive tone for the shift.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including setup and break down.
- Lead pre-shift meetings to inform the team of menu changes, special events, and motivate them before a shift.
- Establish effective communication with all team members.
- Store Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment.
- Perform successful opening and closing procedures, including setup, break down, and prep and distribution of catering orders.
- Assist the General Manager in ensuring customer service standards are met and team members adhere to meal and break policies.
- Ensure all cash handling procedures are upheld and be accountable for store funds during shifts.
- Assign duties to staff during shifts.
- Set an example for team members by adhering to and enforcing policies.
- Implement new menu rollouts and educate team members on said rollouts.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, maintaining safety standards and procedures in the restaurant.
- Product Knowledge and Quality Control
- Taste products during the shift for quality control.
- Follow and enforce all company recipes, procedures, and processes.
- Ensure all team members have up-to-date menu and SOP knowledge.
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Basic computer skills required.
- Capable of working overtime, weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.
- Must be well organized, capable of multitasking, and extremely detail-oriented.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Current manager food handler card.
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
- Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs and frequently lift and bend from the waist.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Frequent use of hands and arms in repetitive motions.
- Must be able to adjust vision to both day and night lighting and focus on both distant and close ranges.
- Regularly required to handle hot food and alcoholic beverages.
