Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently interpret and analyze shop and ISO drawings, along with associated terminology.
  • Effectively communicate complex instructions to junior technicians, ensuring precise task execution.
  • Assist in planning workflows and clearly convey requirements to supervisors.
  • Comply with established safety protocols and standards.
  • Participate in training for safe work practices and contribute to maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Engage in skill development as necessary and support the growth of team members in rigging and machinery operation.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of piping systems and the necessary tools for this role.
Daily and Monthly Duties:
  • Review and revise drawings, implementing updates and redlines as needed.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment and tools to ensure compliance.
  • Certify adherence to welding procedures and maintain accurate logbooks.
  • Keep personal training certifications current as assigned.
  • Oversee the maintenance of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in geometry, mathematics, or mechanical operations/fabrication is preferred.
  • Availability for shift work is necessary.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipe fitting, tank construction, steel erection, or pressure vessel fabrication.
  • At least 2 years of experience interpreting mechanical, pipe, and vessel drawings.
  • 1 year of experience operating overhead cranes.
  • 1 year of experience with forklift operation.
  • A valid and clear driver's license is mandatory.
