Overview:
Our 26-bed Emergency Department provides excellent care to our community 24/7. We are a highly motivated, hardworking, and talented group of coworkers. Opportunity to care for a large variety of illnesses and injuries given there are no other trauma-rated or pediatric-specific emergency departments in our immediate area. Nurse to patient ratio is generally 1:4 for nurses. We do have patient care technicians, paramedics, and patient support associates as part of our care team as well.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Other unit-specific certifications as required or or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
