Position Available: Practical Nursing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and address discomfort and nausea in accordance with medical directives.
  • Offer nourishment to patients who are alert and able to respond.
  • Instruct patients on aftercare protocols for recovery at home.
  • Coordinate with the Pre-Operative nursing staff to verify narcotic counts at the start and conclusion of each shift.
  • Supervise airway and ventilation support.
  • Monitor cardiac activity and respond to critical emergencies.
  • Administer patient care during states of altered consciousness.
  • Oversee the use of monitoring and respiratory apparatus.
  • Ensure proper handling of intravenous lines, tubes, drains, and catheters.
  • Dispense medications and identify potential drug-related complications.
  • Understand anesthetic methods and their potential interactions.
  • Adhere strictly to all organizational policies and protocols.
