Key Responsibilities:
  • Meal Planning and Preparation

Prepare and serve meals and snacks following established menus and nutritional guidelines, ensuring high-quality food is served to our children and staff daily.

Culinary Operations Management

Ensure food is cooked and presented to meet quality and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen that complies with health and safety regulations.

Supply Chain Management

Manage food inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, adapting menus for dietary restrictions or allergies when necessary.

Team Collaboration and Communication

Work collaboratively with staff to plan and improve meal offerings, engaging with children and staff to create a welcoming dining environment.

Requirements:
  • Previous Experience

Prior experience as a cook, preferably in a cafeteria or childcare setting, with knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to prepare meals for large groups efficiently and on schedule, strong organizational and multitasking skills, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.

Certification and Passion

Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one, with a passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
