At University Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of specialty physicians.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical histories, perform physicals, and establish diagnoses through tests
- Formulate treatment plans and provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices in the field
Requirements
- Successful completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
- One year of training in the appropriate specialty
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
