Procurement Coordinator

This Procurement Coordinator - External Partners position is responsible for managing our network of service providers across suburban Cook County, focusing on dental, vision, and auto repair vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with potential vendors, conducting site visits, and resolving any issues that may arise.

• Vendor Recruitment: Identify, recruit, and vet new vendors within the specified sectors, building relationships through community outreach, cold calling, and in-person visits.
• Vendor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal staff, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback, fostering long-term partnerships.
• Vendor Orientation & Onboarding: Conduct orientation sessions and follow-up activities for new vendors, ensuring they understand program guidelines, expectations, and service standards.
• Complaint Management: Resolve vendor and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues as needed.

About You: We're looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and negotiate effectively. A strong organizational and time management background is essential, along with problem-solving aptitude and comfort traveling throughout suburban Cook County.

• High School diploma required; 2+ years of experience in vendor management, recruitment, or customer relationship management preferred.
• Familiarity with dental, vision, or auto repair services is a plus.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance that meets State requirements are necessary.
