Job Title: Pediatric Audiologist

Hear Indiana is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated pediatric audiologist to join our team. As a pediatric audiologist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic and intervention services to children from birth to 21 years of age.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including VRA, BOA, CPA, ABR, and OAE.
  • Evaluate, fit, verify, and maintain amplification in children, particularly infants and toddlers.
  • Generate formal, evidence-based reports on findings.
  • Assist with service coordination outside of the SHRC, in the community, in the school, and in home-based settings to achieve goals in all necessary areas.
  • Provide clear oral and written information to the child's parents, providers, team members, and funding organizations.
  • Obtain consultation from other team members in areas outside your expertise, such as speech-language pathology, social work, cognition, speech development, and speech perception and recognition testing.
  • Communicate effectively with audiologists, audiology assistants, and patient care coordinators to ensure outstanding patient care.
  • Administer the Hearing Aid Assistance Program of Indiana (HAAPI), reviewing hearing aid selections, sending approvals, and answering questions regarding hearing aids for participating audiologists throughout the state.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of loaner and demo equipment, including hearing aids, BAHAs, FMs, and streamers.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology preferred.
  • Holder of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or certification from the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
  • Licensed to practice as an audiologist in Indiana.
  • Preference given to those with experience in cochlear implant technology, including evaluation and device programming.
  • Preference given to those with broad experience in hearing aids, ABRs, ASSRs, speech perception and recognition testing, FMs, and other assistive technology for infants through teens.
  • Preference given to those with cochlear implant mapping experience.
