Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer Technician to join our team at Scientific Research Corporation. As an Electronics Engineer Technician, you will be responsible for conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests using established methods and prepare test specimens
  • Adjust and operate equipment, record test data, and identify deviations
  • Assist engineering staff members in design, fabrication, integration, and testing of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging
  • Perform detailed design tasks requiring the application of CAD equipment
  • Develop test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment
  • Establish procedures for the maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment
  • Inspect, cleanse, transform, and model test data to discover useful information and inform conclusions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six (6) years of professional experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any major system/equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: conducting tensile or hardness tests, operating and adjusting simple test equipment, recording test data
  • Demonstrated experience developing test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software design in one or more of the following areas: simulation, printed circuit boards, electronic and electrical assembly schematics
  • Experience performing platform installation testing, to include Pre-Installation Check-Out (PICO), System Operational Verification Test (SOVT), and System Certification testing
  • Experience with fabrication, integration, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of electronic circuits
  • Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) DoD Secret security clearance
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
Desired Skills and Requirements
  • Associates degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Electrical Engineering
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
  • Understanding of NSWC operations
  • Proficiency with on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of products and equipment in support of DoD programs
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software design in one or more of the following areas: simulation, printed circuit boards, electronic and electrical assembly schematics
  • Demonstrated proficiency performing platforming and developing installation testing, to include Pre-Installation Check-Out (PICO), System Operational Verification Test (SOVT), and System Certification testing
  • Experience with developing and maintaining test plans, to include Production Acceptance Testing (PAT&E), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Environmental qualification test plans, and Platform installation test plans
