Position Overview

This is a full-time role focused on the coordination of events within a prominent academic institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing a variety of gatherings, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats such as conferences, workshops, and receptions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Event Coordination - Collaborate with various stakeholders to manage event logistics, including agenda creation, venue selection, and vendor management. Ensure effective communication and task delegation throughout the planning process.

2. Logistical Management - Oversee all logistical aspects of events, such as travel arrangements, catering, equipment setup, and registration processes. Supervise staff and volunteers as needed to ensure smooth operations.

3. Marketing and Outreach - Work alongside program leaders to identify target audiences and implement public relations strategies. Document events through articles, photography, and video to enhance visibility and engagement.

4. Financial Oversight - Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage event budgets. Responsible for collecting data related to attendance and financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and vendor payments.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity. A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment is essential.
