OBJECTIVE AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an integral member of the Quality Assurance team, the selected candidate will possess substantial experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes essential for overseeing the procurement of materials, production of component parts, and assembly of mechanical systems. The Quality Assurance Specialist will oversee manufacturing operations across various departments including Purchasing, Production Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – additional tasks may be assigned

  • Oversight of Material Review Board activities.
  • Management and coordination of product non-conformances, including those initiated by internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Coordination and execution of inspection activities to facilitate production.
  • Management and completion of First Article Inspection tasks for components and assemblies produced within the facility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Quality Control within an aerospace manufacturing and assembly context; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires a solid understanding of aerospace quality system standards, including First Article Inspection and Root Cause/Corrective Actions.
  • Familiarity with Material Review Board procedures.
  • Management of Approved Supplier Listings.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Proven ability to apply continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies and protocols.
  • Experience in interpreting blueprints.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work may occur in an office setting but will predominantly take place on the manufacturing floor. Exposure to dirt, heat, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust may be encountered.
  • Office duties will involve working at computer workstations.
  • Factory floor responsibilities may necessitate the movement of materials using handling containers and carts.
