At Addison Heights Health and Rehabilitation, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the functions of the nursing department to ensure high-quality, efficient nursing care.
- Supervise Unit Managers, Clinical Nurses, and Nurse Assistants to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
- Develop and implement competency/skills checklists for nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide excellent care.
- Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for the nursing department to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Establish and maintain productive lines of communication with residents, families, internal staff, and external community.
- Prepare and submit reports on nursing department operations as required.
- Actively participate in the quality improvement process for the facility.
- Participate in and/or provide inservice education sessions to ensure staff are up-to-date on best practices.
- Schedule, direct, and document regular meetings with nursing staff to ensure effective communication.
Requirements:
