Job Opportunity

Sonoma State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time lecturer position in the Department of Art & Art History. The successful applicant will teach studio art courses, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and ceramics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more studio art courses, including 2D and 3D fundamentals
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental goals and standards
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to departmental decisions
Requirements
  • MFA or equivalent degree in studio art
  • Two years of teaching experience at the college level
  • Strong record of exhibition on the regional and national levels
  • Professional and technical experience in studio art
Benefits

Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience. The full-time monthly base salary range is $4,530 - $6,056 per month.
