Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the imaging department, responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using computerized tomography (CT) scans. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients on the CT table and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and ensure proper administration.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments to ensure optimal results.
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions and ensure a smooth transition to the next step in their care.
  • Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Current License as an (MRT) by the State of Texas required.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification required.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
