Job Summary

Orbia is seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for coordinating with project teams and contractors to develop cost estimates and estimate confidence packages. Your expertise in cost estimating and control will be essential in ensuring the company's objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare classified estimates at the FEED stage and EPC stage
  • Support the bidding process by developing and preparing cost estimates for capital projects and participating in negotiations with bidders
  • Understand WBS process for developing the estimation cost breakdown structure
  • Develop measures and reporting systems aligned with benchmarking to achieve pacesetter levels
  • Prepare detailed budget estimates and updates thereof
  • Subject matter expert on cost estimating, assisting project teams with the implementation and stewardship of project controls documents and systems
  • Coordinate with project teams for the development of all classified and unclassified cost and schedule estimates and estimate confidence packages

Requirements
  • Thorough and extensive knowledge of estimating and project controls principles, theories, concepts, and tools
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 20 years' broad experience in cost estimating, cost control, and change management, with hands-on site experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience associated with engineering, procurement, and construction for large (> $1BN) onshore facilities
  • Expert knowledge in cost estimation
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills, ability to work with others and build consensus among team
  • Strong coordination experience and good team skills
  • Willing to work overseas in a team environment and relocate to project construction site
