Job Overview

Destiny Healthcare Services - Chicago Transportation is seeking a reliable and dedicated Transportation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for children and families involved in the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport children and families to and from appointments, court hearings, and other DCFS-related activities.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage and times.
  • Communicate effectively with DCFS caseworkers, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle as needed.
  • Report any vehicle issues or incidents immediately to management.
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for clients during transportation.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Own a reliable vehicle that meets safety and insurance requirements.
  • Proof of insurance for the vehicle.
  • Clear background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
