  • Practice Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expansion of our SALT practice.
  • Client Service: Provide exceptional client service, ensuring timely and effective delivery of state and local tax consulting, controversy, and compliance services.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices to drive growth and revenue.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the SALT practice staff, ensuring a seamless transfer of expertise and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum ten years of recent experience selling and delivering income and franchise tax engagements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field of study from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, JD/LLM, Enrolled Agent, CMI, or MST (Masters in Taxation).
  • Skills: Strong technical awareness of franchise tax issues, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated track record of business development, leadership, and team management, with a proven ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships.
