Job Title: MRI Imaging Specialist

Job Specialty: Adult MRI

Job Description:

  • Work under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor as an entry-level MRI Imaging Specialist.
  • Deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members.
  • Utilize a variety of specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm completion and documentation in line with protocols.
  • Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, and user maintenance per instructions.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Work independently with general supervision or assistance as needed.
  • Maintain sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs, acting professionally and compassionately.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
