Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary with uncapped earning potential, ranging from $175,000 to over $200,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including mileage reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and 100% malpractice coverage.

Job Description

The Optometrist will provide general optometry services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities within an assigned territory. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating refractive disorders, ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses, and managing diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.

Essential Functions

  • Refractive Disorders: Diagnose and treat refractive errors, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
  • Ocular Disorders: Diagnose and treat age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and other ocular conditions.
  • Clinical Autonomy: Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
  • Patient Care: Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
  • Travel: Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities is required for mobile model treatment of patients.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
  • State Professional License
  • Valid Driver's License
  • TPA Certified/Legend Drug Certificate
  • Excellent Written, Verbal, Interpersonal and Organizational Skills
