Environmental Scientist Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Environmental Scientist Intern. As an employee-owned company, we value our professionals and strive to provide a supportive environment for growth and development.

• Assist project managers and technical staff in the development of water resources projects.
• Provide meaningful work experience to engineering and environmental students in a field closely related to their studies.
• Conduct fieldwork, including wetland delineations, sediment sampling, and hydrosurveys.
• Collect and analyze data, including plant identification, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology indicators.
• Assist with report writing and document field observations.

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Completed college-level coursework in plant identification and soil classification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Regular lifting and carrying of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds).

• Currently working towards a degree in soil science, conservation, or related field.
• Experience in soil judging.
• Willingness to attend UW-La Crosse Wetland Training Workshop.
• Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
• WDNR or NASBLA Boaters Certification.
