Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Apartment Leasing Consultant to join our team in Slidell, LA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting clients, presenting the features and benefits of our apartment community, and securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be the community's sales representative, working closely with current residents to ensure their satisfaction and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects by covering all necessary criteria
  • Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports
  • Maintain accurate guest cards and follow established procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with residents and vendors
  • Distribute company or community-issued notices
  • Promote the community and specific apartments to prospective residents
  • Ensure apartments are ready for move-in on agreed dates
  • Assist the management team with various tasks as required

Requirements:

  • LIHTC experience required
  • Apartment leasing and fair housing experience necessary
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Above-average computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Sales and customer service skills
