ProRehab Physical Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Receptionist for our Newburgh location. This role requires a motivated, team-oriented individual who excels in a dynamic environment and enjoys direct interaction with people. Our practice is dedicated to patient care, and we are in search of someone who is meticulous, organized, and dependable, with prior front office experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing front desk scheduling
- Welcoming patients and facilitating their check-in and check-out processes
- Handling phone calls and email inquiries
- Collecting co-pays and other necessary fees prior to appointments
- Securing pre-authorizations for patient visits
- Conducting insurance re-verifications
- Performing data entry, generating reports, auditing, and filing
- Maintaining the front desk and reception areas
- Interacting with patients and physicians via phone and in-person
- Managing, updating, and documenting patient records in an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Executing additional duties as assigned
This unique role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in our Newburgh location.
Prior experience in a medical/dental front office, administrative, customer service, or front office role is essential. A background in working with insurance benefits, pre-authorizations, and approvals is preferred. We Are Therapist Owned

Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of insurance benefits, deductibles, and co-payments related to medical care
- Previous administrative or professional office experience in a medical setting is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with general office equipment
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Willingness to treat all patients with kindness and consideration, even in challenging situations
- Friendly disposition with a desire to engage with the public
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion
