Position Overview:
This position involves a long-term contract that offers the potential for extension. The selected candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the security infrastructure is robust and effective.
Compensation: $50 - $55/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave, contingent on work location.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee security monitoring and management utilizing tools such as Carbon Black, Symantec, and Client.
- Ensure that the inventory is regularly updated with application policies and assess what is permitted and restricted in the operational environment.
- Utilize software for application whitelisting, threat detection, monitoring, and response, as well as antivirus solutions.
- Focus on maintaining optimal security hygiene across hardware in the field.
Essential Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in operational technology intrusion detection and security monitoring applications.
- Proficiency with threat detection and response software, particularly Carbon Black.
- Experience with antivirus solutions, specifically Symantec.
- Familiarity with operational monitoring systems, such as Client.
- Background in operational security monitoring and management.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender in enterprise environments.
