Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the medical imaging department, responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to produce high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and position patients on the CT table
  • Start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary
  • Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions
  • Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
  • Current License as an MRT by the State of Texas required
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT) required
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
